Would also have a Focus RS over any of VWs current GTi / R cars chav paint job or otherwise.

VAG aren't immune to questionable marketing activities either..

 

There's a big difference between making one offs and selling batches of vinyl-covered limited run cars.

err.. the 5 le mans focii ARE 1 offs though. 1 of each livery has been produced and will be driven round le sarthe by ex ford motorsport VIPs, before being auctioned off for charity at the le mans classic next weekend

I like the Focus RS but would rather have in a more subtle colour rather than all the shouty bright colours.

I love my Focus, its got an engine, transmission, wheels, brakes etc.

OT, but go on...

 

It kind of did, Cosworth was owned by Ford at the time. So there money built that engine.

The focus RS500 is just a sales mans trick on using the original RS500 name to sell cars. Either way, that RS500 brand has a massive que of people wanting them, sold out already I think.

Ford was great once, and some do look at ford with blinkers on.. back in the last 80's early 90's nothing coming from any other manafacture could compete with them on the road for the money they cost.

I love them as you can tell, and the best car I have ever driven is that car, yes it was modified but that was a good thing for them, you could mod them for a couple thousand and keep up with the latest fezzer or porker, thats why we all secretly love them

Either way, the Escort RS Cosworth would shame a fair amount of cars these days, including any GTi badged Golf.

Anything with a Ford RS badge will be worth a fair amount at some point, as some have stated sadly they dont make them like the used too.

I never fancyed that much power in a front wheel drive car so dont really find them that interesting, I am more old school.

I hate the white strips going across the roof!! what is that all about lol.

I don't really get this

it's better built and faster..

you can't build them like those of old due to the requirements on safety & emissions plus cars need to make the company money

Taking all that into account.. rather than a why don't they just remake escort cossies etc. then the Focus is a job done well
