almost 146k on my mk2 16v... engine has only done about 10k though [] my previous ones had done 165k+, still got the engines, and im sure they'd still work, the cars were shoddy but the engines are usually fine its the gearboxes that give up...
93800 on a 94 8v ibiza gti the last 2 vdubs were 189k on an 88 rocco 1.6 gt only thing that went was the fuel tank rotted out and my golf driver 162k when sold and still going apparently had a head gasket a while ago .
my abf is a 95 model with 151k miles. it is a stormer. i started a new job today. 28 mile commute (either way), mostly town, about 9 miles of DC. it averaged over 32mpg in either direction and my MFA is correct to about 0.1mpg, and my car pulls like a train, if i take it back to stealth, im certain that it will be nearly 180bhp now
my 91 16v 108,000 leaks a bit from rocker cover but fine my brothers 91 8v 181,000 smokes a bit when belted mercelessy but heads never been off
96 Mk3 GTi 8v... Just about to roll upto 112,000, got it with just shy of 104,000 on (but with mega service history).. Burns no oil, have never had to top it up since owning it, and I've done a fair number of 300+mile round trips upto the NE and back in her and she runs like a dream every time. Had no problems engine wise, just the usual dicky ABS sensors Barely run in IMO
bought my ABF Mk3 16v with 87k on the clock, just coming up to 91k, sounds ubber smooth, just stuck some synta silver in!
