have a 1986 16v on 193K with full service history and additional pages stapled into the back of the servcice book for more stamps. I am aiming to take it past 200 and it sounds sad but one day if it could get to 240k that would be ace- reason why - 240K is distance to the MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus a 1990 16v with 56k on the clocks but now fitted with a 75K passat 9A lump....
My old band that i quit recently has a van. A vauxhall midi van with 300k on it. We always used to joke about it going to the moon!!!
Bought mine with 145k, passed MOT with one tyre, one brake pad and headlight alignment. Is now on 151k and still pulling strong. Well the engine is anyway. The gearbox sounds like a stright cut box, but it's not.
Nearly 170K on Mk 4 GTI 1.8T My 2000 (T) Mk 4 GTI 1.8T, 220-odd bhp with REVO remap and KO3S turbo, currently has 169,631 on the clock. Commutes over 120 miles a day and does about 5 or 6 track days a year. Most amazing of all, it is still on original clutch .... but for how long?
Should be coming up to 140k for car and 100k for engine, bought it with 126k on it, replaced engine at 127k!
117k on a MK3 1.4 and i killed the engine last night. if you put a marble in a bean can and shake it hard.........thats what my engine sounds like now!
My 91 valver has 138k. regularly serviced and runs like a dream. Its everything else that goes t**s up.
