I did it before I went out that night you where trying, was ready to post it off my phone if you beat my time Its still very possible to go a fair bit faster than that if someone knows the track well and has a wheel.

 

What settings are you using for the Mk5 there then? Susp, gearing etc.?

Also, anyone know why you cant add a rear wing to the Golf?

Honestly don't know, only marginal advantage to a FWD car I guess.

Yeah, totally agree that they look shoite but they do appear to give quite a benefit, even on FWD!

I'd like to have a car, but feel wrong about it! Like i'd be cheating?! Saying that, if you've got a Chevy Camaro SS '69 i'd take it.

 

Yeah, it's feels like work now, which is right odd, plus I get all too many "you're playing that again!!"'s from the GF, because it takes 1-2 hours to finsh a series.

Only got the DTM one to finish (apart from the endurance races which I wont do), online doesn't work for me, connection too slow for it to work properly I fancy.

Also I've just committed to 2 night a week in the Gym with my PT (not with him per-se but he's told me too)

Now my arms work I need to concentrate on fittness / MTB / family and don't need anymore distractions ha ha.

 

Fair enough, I'm hardly on there because the TV is usually displaying tripe like Eastenders/Corrie/Don't tell the Bride etc. Therefore i still have love for the game...it's a blessing in a way!

Shame Online doesnt work though, that does add a whole new dimension if the game's a bit tired. But again, it's not like you can nip in for 10 mins.

 

Just up'd the top speed on the gearing by a little bit and left everything else standard atm, did have a play with geometry but it just seemed to make the car understeer more even if I got the initial turn in to improve so I put it back to standard.

 

That's a good time to get with basically standard settings then. Wonder if i should crack out my wheel and try to knock of the 10+ seconds

I have only just started the game so dont really have any cars but really want a CSL for the Nordschleife.

I dont know if I can exchange you for credits or I could buy you a car of the same value maybe?
