No fancy steering wheel here! Standard PS controller FTW

(Do badly want a steering wheel though!)

Defalt geo on the car, no driver aids TCS (just ABS) and done in manual.

After Nick's mention on geo I set back to default settings as was running 5 deg neg last night after buying the car and it was a bit unpredictable/difficult!!

I find doing manual makes it easier, especially with an understeery MK5, as if you have gone in a bit too quick you can change up early while still on the power and sometimes get round the corner without going off.

Think there is still quite a bit of time that could come off as watching Nick's vid, he is quicker than me at a lot of bits but I must have got some time back at other places.

CSL is only available 2nd hand and does not come up much. You can buy a V8 M3 new. I have an E46 M3 that I have tuned that I got 2nd hand but would still love a CSL.

In fairness I learnt more on my 2 pax laps (one with Steve R and one with Chris E) than I did on my 14 laps of the track or my 1000000000000 laps on consoles, nothing beats knowing the correct lines and when It comes to the ring they certainly aren't always the obvious ones.

I think if any of the ring regulars got sat in a good gaming chair/wheel set up then a sub 7.10 would be done, I just dont know the line for the whole track to do it thou.

I've probably done a hundred passenger laps, with people who DO know their way round.

I never claimed to be a "ring meister". I just said your lines were ****e. You don't need to know anything about the ring to know that a corner has a turn in point and and apex. Something you have yet to learn.

If you've got a pick up (preferably a tacoma [:D]) I'll trade you my mk1 in alpine white, been jigged and engine rebuild, can't remember if I've done any mods.

If not a pick up, suggestion?
