Alan, I've a mk1 if you still want it, all been rebuilt.

I've found a pickup (Silverado SST concept or something) no modifications, 100mph in 2nd! won the races easy as pie. If anyone needs to borrow it, let me know.

yeah the mk1 would be great.

    PSN Drunkenalan

I havent even looked for a pickup, are they any good?

If you get the 62 special, i think its a prize from the B spec, it doesnt look much but its rapid!

Yeah got the 62 special, got it from the A spec though, I think it looks "pimpin" (says the skinny white boy)

Well, I reckon most pickups would be awful, and you've got to drive it like a heavy car, but the SST concept got up to 160mph around the oval track. Just drove past the rest on the races

If I really tried, I reckon I could just about attain your high standard in that department, but really I`m happy to let you keep the top spot.

what are people using for the historic racing car cup? the 700bhp cobra is quite up to it and i dont have the 10 000 000+ needed for the other cars that are competitive??

I think the 74 countach is fast enough, I think I won it, my b-spec guy came 2nd in it, so I think it's doable in that.

The 70s ferrari from the dealer isn't quick enough either, I wasted loads on that!

I tried it in the Countach (ala, PeeJay), but just couldn`t get to grips with it.

Used my Dodge Charger in the end, but had to race-mod it first. Well worth it though, since it handles brilliantly if you get the setup right, especially the diff. (Beware though, if you max it, then RM it, all the mods revert to standard and you`ll have to re-select them from the settings menu, pre-race. Took a while to work out why it went from 700bhp+ to just 450bhp after RM... ;))

Another tip; if the Chapparel 2J or Toyota 7 are ahead of you on the grid line-up, quit the race and re-enter.

If they get a clear run from the front of the grid they`ll have half a lap on you before you know it, no matter how well you start.

Best to have them behind or next to you, so they get held up behind the GT40 and P3/4 for a couple of laps letting you build a decent lead.

Saying that, it may still take a couple of tries, because when that 2J fan-car gets right behind you half way round the 5th lap (which it`s guaranteed to do!) it`ll suck all the grip off the road along with your talent...

I did it to a lotus elise 111r, then realised i couldnt use it for the seasonal events thing as race modifying changes the name/classification of the car. [:^(][:^(]

One of the Civic type r's that you win can be race modified, don't see the point in spending over 100k on a civic though!
