Mk 2 Optional Extras Do you have some?

This one I have never seen.

I have a '91 8v and have some very small additions; rear black carpet turrets (possibly been added) I have a dealer fitted (from new) Hella 3rd brake light which was listed as an option.

Just would love to have some of the options you guys are coming up with now.

I have never seen headlight washers on a MK2 either

my 1990 8v had a CD centre console thingy.... i've heard thats not common...... does that count?!

ive got a top tint windscreen in my mk2, got told they were pretty rare, not to sure if its genuine vw though will have to check

Also have a 3rd brake light, again not sure if this is a genuine vw item

i have front electric windows as well

 

ive also had a car with a 7k digifiz dash ,air con and something else i cant rember

GSF sell the tinted interior light

 

Mine's got a worn seat bolster & a second gear crunch but those are so common I guess they're standard equipment as opposed to an optional extra.

My 89 16v has

leather interior with 60/40 rear split

votex consul

heated washer jets

carpeted boot turrets- someone else mentioned that but i havent seen too many with it

white- "limited" dials- really not sure about these, they match the VDO dials as well so maybe its factory????

most leathers came in 60/40 style

heated jets and carpet turrets are standard for a 89 16v afaik

 

My 90 spec 16v never had carpet on the rear turrets. I had to buy a set myself.

 

I have an extra 25 bhp, uprated suspension and a nice rear spoiler all as "options" on my 8v

 

changed to foam in 90>

 

and they try to make out they improve cars the longer they are on sale
