I have this model in my 91GL, with elec mirrors (thought not sure if they were standard as picked up another GL for parts with elec mirrors). and got 60/40 split seats.
whats the deal with teh mk2 BBS and zender body kits for the small bumpers??? Not seen many BBS kits about. just bought one for my mark too as i really like the look its a bit different i know its not to everybodys taste. Sqaurere chunkier arches. I got a zender spoiler too not sure if ill fit that thou. These quite rare???
For info I just found out that my electric sunroof was made by electric life so im guessing its a retro fit kit.
i just got my hands on some very tidy 60/40 split rear rainbow seats and 2 heated rainbow seats in near mint condition. It was a 600 mile round trip to get them. But they were a good price though!
I've got a full factory fit BBS kitted Mk2 including BBS wheels on a small bumpered 1990 G reg. I actually like the look of this kit as long as it's on black cars. On white or red it does look very dated. But in black it hides the squareness and looks much beefier than a stock small bumpered GTI.
optional extras Would luv some heated seats-never see many for sale usually not working-Where did you get them from Mark? Have to console myself with Air con, sunroof, rain sensing wipers, parking sensors, fischer cd holder and happich windows!
I got them from the place that sells just about everything ebay. Just need to change them over to tilt and fit my 3dr and fix the two elements that are gone, find and wire in a loom, get the ultra rare swich and im away. Do you have factory rain sensing wiper?? bugger me i thought they were new. And pop out windows look so good i want them!

i've got a roller switch in mine, next to the rear heater switch(no photo) that has the icon of a speaker on it and i think it switches the sound from the front/back speakers (no rear speakers, ) is that what it is?
from what i gather it was fitted to very early models, back when stereos had no front/rear fade. not particularly rare, and pretty useless in this day & age. handy if you dont like switch blanks though edit: i think it was fitted to models with the aktiv system as well?
