MK1 Golf built in 83 bought in '03 and and still not completed!!!

    Collo did you know that there was a real Gulf team that had mk1's amongs't their cars?

    Hi,yes it is but is shortly due to be replaced as bias pedal box is arriving soon:)

    Tried to adjust colour in the washed out 2:

    I had them among some other stuff to go in the VW Racing thread but hadn't put them in yet.

    I spend a lot of time on sites catering for cars between 70's & 80's.

    I have other Gulf cars about if you ever want me to post them up.

    Had a very busy and productive weekend started off by getting one of these

    Then back to the garage and replaced interior trim with Carbon Panels from the old Trimsport car

    Then replaced cylinder head with TSR Pack A,Piper Cams (Ultimate),and a vernier pulley also replaced cooling fan ,water pump and gearlinkages

    Also fitted new Omp pedals

    Off to the rolling road on Thursday morning for set up and then Brands on the 17th for track evening:)

    1st class car/thread! I will also be at Brands on the 17th...in my mk1 trackday wagon (2.0 16v - rollcentre cage- quaife diff/s/rack- gaz gold coilovers 825kgs etc etc). Unfortunatley excess pie eating on my part will be the slowing factor in the whole package. I very much look forward to seeing you there. Best regards Chris

    Apologies to those at Brands ,I wimped out earlier this week as it was supposed to be peeing it down ,and then sun shine's all day[:s] [:s] , oh well ,will drive down later for a look.
