    Great work here fella.

I am currently in the process of converting my mk1 golf to 4 wheel drive.

Engine will be 2.0 16v turbo.

Can you tell me what make and model your rear shocks are?
    What car are they from?

Mk1 Golf and Ralley ralley rear shocks are to long and therefore cant get the correct stance i am looking for at the rear.

    Thanks

hi the rearr shocks are from KW as far as im aware they were specially made for the mk1 4x4 conversion i was kind of lucky and found a guy who had a set for sale for it and i know they cost him aobut 400 for the two.

hi there managed to get myself an alloy radiator made to fit the mk1 did a very tidy job!

also sorted out inlet manifolds now i did have one of these lieng around and thought i would use it
    [IMG]

but didnt like the angle on the inlet manifold where the inlet manifold bolts on and also im using the mk3 vr6 throttle body what didnt fit onto the r32 bolting so i got somebody to modify it just for the time being to get me going might getmsomething better built at a later date

hopefully have a few more pics tomorrow getting close to trying to start it now cannot wait!! lol

after fitting the inlet manifold and radiator i realised there would be no room for the dipstick so i shortened the tube down and managed to make it come in between cylinder 3 and 4 i think

thought it was about time to make the engine mounts a little bit more sturdy and shorten the bolts that are a bit of a random size (12 x 1.5) and just spaced it with washers for the time being and will make a proper spacer in the future.

sorted out the bump steer last weeked not to hard to do basically just playing about with different spacers on the track rod ends till when the wheel stopped steering under the vehicle movement up and down, got it to a point from ride height to sitting on the bump stops i only have 1mm of tow in/ tow out cant remember which one it was now lol.
