What a great idea of yours Gary......after all you wouldn't want to be a sheep eh ?

If I had anything to do with this, which I dont as its Gary's idea, I could have the phone number of the guy at Rimstock you may have to talk to to perhaps get some of these wheels

It takes at least 2 months to get them, but they are ace.

LOL - I knew of one person (you) that had these wheels, and they're not on a mk2 Golf anyway! ;)

    There's loads of Compo's on mk2s!

Gary - have you considered the ATS DTC Tourenwagen wheel? 15x7 fitment, 5.7 kg, and a 'proper' motorsport wheel.

Oh, and apparently available in black. ;)

Erik at AAT should be able to help.

I spoke to AAT about these at the Malvern indoor show, yes they're a light wheel and apparently strong but I'm a bit undecided on the excess bolt holes and the spindly 'look' of the spokes. [:s]

yep, launched off, went down the road and snap.

No pot hole, no kerb, nothing but a flat smooth road and he wasn't even speeding. He loved that car to much to abuse it
