This bit is good fund getting all the parts cleaned and painted up [:D] - but I'll have to get them onto the car now!

Just saving up for coilies (why are they so expensive [xx(]) and new wishbones/steering rack - annoying as this holds up actually getting the car a rolling shell!

But i'm in no rush... more piccies soon as i'm off for a few days over Easter so should get more done..

    Thanks for all encouragement...

When I got my carbs it came with a mangoletsi manifold which wasn't considered that great - and when I studied it with the carbs mounted - there was too sharp a bend between the carb port and the head port and others with experience advised against it.

So hunted out another - and got this version yesterday from Rowland Manifolds South Africa - great service and they are a family owned company - they do a lot of manifolds even one to mount T'bodies or carbs to a 20v!!! now there's an idea for someone!
Pic below of new manifold - about twice the length of the mangoletsi and a far smoother track to the head - 'should' 'hope' flow much better. Yes I know get it built  ... meanwhile back in the shed ;) .

My FK Konigsports came today from Gwent VW Audi

They packaged them really well in their original box and then in a bigger box - great service too - only ordered on Saturday morning and here this morning!

Worth all the weeks of scrimping and saving for! Now I can get on with the rebuild!

@dubleon - what do you mean by transfer bar - if its the lonbar from left to right its stock mk1 no alterations.... the pics are too big which probably makes it look strange [:s]
