Damn good time. I only managed 13.1s with a trap of 117mph today. Sambo was telling me about your car. Well done. Gurds
Cheers I'm still getting over it I'm very happy at the moment it was quite a shock when I saw the time and had to go off running to show people the time ticket, there's more to come out of her and I think im getting the bug already planning a new head and gearbox and of coarse the mapping.
Cracking time there Nath, you'll have to give me some tips when mine's running properly again - has some coolant issues when on boost :-(
Nathan, I checked the time with the Shakespeare timing guys first thing on Sunday. There were two quick runs you did, just after the 4pm competition cut off on Saturday, so they support each other and explain how they weren't counted for the day's trophy results .
Nackerd gauge then or plumbed in wrong lol I'll sort it when I get it mapped it's not going out till then still lots of little niggles to sort out. Cheers for the concern
Relax lads, if Nath was running too much boost he wouldn't have achieved 12.1 on road tyres and unprepped track as all he would get is too much wheel spin! I know this for a fact from last year as i had to turn boost down so i can go quicker! I managed 12.3 in heavier audi running 1.6 bar with similar turbo so all is well
Nah, don't relax Sambo. I'm properly worried for Nut! it's on ME3.8, the worlds most stupid ecu. that's not an insult, I have one too, and it's dumb. there's no wideband, and it runs entirely open loop at WOT. A VR6 MAF housing will only flow to around 320bhp, after that it's 100% blind, and if the injectors and MAf arn't scaled to each other then who's to say it's fuelling anywhere near correct anyway? I'd say to get a 12.1 1/4 on road tyres you've got to be pushing a bit more than 320bhp, and surely more than just actuator pressure? To be doing those kind of quarters, and not even know if the boost gauge works, is beyond risky, it's outright insanity! is the n75 plugged in nut? You can just about blag miss matched larger MAF + injectors on me7.5 as it'll try and adapt to a degree, but on me3.8 you're basically dowsing all the cash you've spent on the car in fuel then dangling it above a fire....
Nick, He took a risk and the engine lived. I would not worry about it. It would be sorted and checked soon.
