Hi all ive been putting this off for months now so i guess its time to start and stop dreaming! The aim of my build is to make a car with subtle visual differences but with a large power output. ive been thinking about this for years now and having finnished a project last summer and buying the base for my project straight away i now have the time and funds to start.

    My spec
    1. AGU block bored out to 1.9 TSR rods and wossner pistons
    2. AGU head polished and ported supertech valves and valve train
    3. AGU inlet manifold VR6 TB GENESIS 550 injectors
    4. GARRETT GT30 turbo top mount manifold
    5. 3" down pipe to a 3" pipe werx custom exhaust
    6.Large FMIC
    7. Me7 ecu custom mapped by ADE tuning
    8. seat cupra r brembo front brakes mk4 golf rear
    9. power flex bushes all round
    10. SPAX RSX coilovers and eibach ARB front and rear
    11. CDA gear box mk4 selector
    12. porcche D90 16" rims

Thats just an idea of what im trying to achive loads and more to add. so i bought the car arround 3 months ago its a 1989 mk2 16v oak green that has seen better days but the shell is solid just a little rust around 1 rear arch will fix this while the engine is away at build.

So thats the car it was somones half hearted attempt at a project which really never took off but not bad for 400. This weekend saw the engine removed and relocated to a new owner.
Now the engine has gone this weekend the car moves to my unit where ill be starting the strip out process.
So as John shaw says "keep em peeled"

Hi here is some up date photos the car is now in my unit and the long process of stripping it down has started.
once the engine was removed it showed some areas that needs attension mainley surface rust that will need sorting.
im now going down the route of spraying the engine bay theres no point of doing all of this work and not sorting that out!
ive also taken the wings off as they were rotten under the plastic arches, and revieled a pleasent supprise that there is no rust what so ever on the inner arch and door pillars.

The chassis needs some attension so sending this lot off for blast and powder coat
    [IMG]
so far so good going to start stripping a donor for 5 stud and wide track tomorrow.

Today ive fitted my rado pedal box had to heat up the fire wall and beat it flat for the clutch cylinder to fit properly.
i still have to move the top bracket over on the pedal box but the trial fit went well.
next cleaning the engine bay ready for prep and paint my hat goes off to people who have done this as its all wax coated and does not come off that easy.
any way ive cleaned 1 chassis leg and it has not come out to bad
    [IMG]
also i removed all the old sound proofing and insulation and hovered out the inside and wiped down with panel wipe progress is slow but at least its moving.

my sand blasting and powder coating total come to 60 that includes the rear beam axle and loads of other bits.

The battery tray is only surface rust just a rub back acid etch and paint with the including the engine bay.

working on replacing the the petrol tank neck bracket as the old one was very holy
    [IMG]
Scribed around the old one to get the position right and drilled it off.
I then dressed the welded faces up and tacked it in place.
Then before i could finnish the batterys went in my mask and the gas run out[:x] so went back home and painted the fence:(
