was only a guess tooo ....due to trying the bonet on and i reckon it may close ,,as the front pannel fitted with a bit of chopping here and there lol
Nice work, everything looks strong enough ., just watch the oil filter housing on the front crossmember when the engine torques upwards. Are you converting to cable clutch? and what engine management?. Steve.
hi steve yes i did cut some out ,so may chop a tad more out to be safe ,,, ive a std engine loom and ecu ,im going to be stuck as i just unpluged it from the old mk3 instead of takeing the whole fusebox ,,im not looking forward unless anyone has a plud pin read out of were there supose to go ,ie power earth, just to get the engine runing ,has i doubt they can be just pluged into the mk4 polo fuse box
cheers if anyone can help/assit or know who to wire a obd1 vr6 loom into a mk4 fusebox ,it would help loads ,,has i can sort all the engine bay wireing ill just be left with the fuse box plugs on the end of the mk3 loom ,,,,,has i carnt see them pluging into the mk4 polo fusebox lol
Amazing work, and looks very good quality too. I may has missed it, but where's the rad going, will it fit ? How's the caddy doing /
may do ,but i think the plug wireing maybe differnert conpaired to the mk3 vr6 plugs,,,, as i dont fancy a fire on the go lol
hiy a pal cheers for asking ,,ive not know my weld break as yet lol ,ill get a rad in the front ,bit of a squeeze but ill sort that ,caddys sat there due have other things to sort ,,,, a few updates here ,,and clearer pics too first add do a little alteration to make sure the oil filter houseing wouldnt catch then just caped and finshed the front mont off and made a few extra beefy brackets to put some extra strengh in that rear mount then fitted the vr gear selector ,,fits a treat evern cables right length too thats that sorted and all working fine,,
and just made a start on the down pipe too had to cut as the vr bends both ways this is a mock up how it will look with some pipe welded in place and a engine shot of how it fits ,,not bad for a first attempt i reckon ..
small update ,,, bit of chopping and welding here and there to get a down pipe modifyed that bit sorted it will clear for engine movement .. right next engine wireing ,,lol i hate it ,i ant a ******* clue ,,can anyone help ,,, i have seperate pin pics if anyone knows as i know some of the wireing wont be needed ,which is another story
looking awesome! If you need to know anything bout the electrics, try rubjonny on here. I read loads of post's in the "electrical" section last week, trying to find the VR wiring for myself, and pretty much every reply was from him! He seems pretty clued up on it and was very helpfull to me! hope it helps mate!

give yourself more credit than that bud,you have done allot of custom fabrication to sqeeze that lovley old 12v into the bay of a polo and then one day drive off into the subset... like said before you got skillz!
Wirings not to bad mate, do polo's have ce2 fusebox? Doesn't matter if not just would make it a lot easier! You got any diagrams for vr's?
