Hehe, ask a stupid question I suppose....

What I meant is,do you have to go direct to Quaife and pay the RRP or can you get them from other people. ;)

Bill I'll bow down to your superior knowledge, you break as many gearboxes as Tub, so you must know a thing or two

I bought my direct via AutoTechnik, if that makes any sense.. No bargain tho.
New 6spd is Quaife, so we will have to see how it performs when eventually ready. [:$] One day [:$] maybe [:$] soon [:s] perhaps!

what sort of retail are you looking at for a quaiffe for a vw box ? its about 450, or nearer 400 if you know the right people for my box.

i spoke to mike from quaiffe at autosport show. he said they are banging out focus diffs for 250 quid, a big surplus because of the RS aparently [:x] [:^(]

just shows you the profit margin dont it.

Demon tweeks sell quaife diffs and if you are a member of their motorsport club you get 10% discount. Incidentaly I have now ordered a diff from EIP tuning in the states. They run a VR6 Scirrocco turbo that does 1/4 mile in 10.7 secs. I was talking to the guy and he said ( and so does their website )that they were blowing a quaiffe diff every 6 runs whereas now they have fitted their own diff they have not had any problems over the last year. their diff also comes with new bearings, ARP bolts and gaskets etc. They also do a range of other VW products - check out their performance paddle clutch kits for $350 !! I am currently talking to them about importing their range and selling it on the net - Watch this space !!
Ps their web address is http://www.eiptuning.com
They have a video of the Scirrocco doing the 10.7 sec 1/4 mile.
The diff should arrive in the next two weeks as soon as I have rebuilt the box and fitted it I'll let you all know.

    kind regards

their white golf vr6 with slicks is mental, i saw it run 11.1 1/4 mile. Their products look top notch. I think alot of people will start importing their diffs once they get noticed here ;)
