Restoration - Almost Complete

    I think you will find that the pictures have been brightened up or effected by the flash / light

    Of course they took them off! Every piece of trim, badges. and you can see windows were still removed, car was gutted completely and my unprofessional photos taken inside a huge body shop with flash. Trust me, it is about the best body resto you could get and before anyone comments on the interior, it is OK so nothing needs replacing there. Gareth, look at the body stripes thread and you will see what goes on underneath the arch trim.

    It's nice to know that inbetween detailers and rat lookers there's people just wanting to drive a nice normal old vw.

    that aint my car as my tag says whats wrong with standard i wasnt meaning to say spray
    painting the bumpers just say that they can be painted even though they are plastic i have
    sprayed mine BUT its black vynl dye to as mentioned keep it original looking not paint oh
    no not for me granny your right about the badges not being avaliable but these are just
    the rear ones the front one you say youve change still is at 18

    Thanks WillG it is people like you and the rest who have offered sooo much support that make the project so worthwhile. Not seen it for a week so am wondering just what it looks like now. Hahah MOT ran out 24/9 so hoping it won't fail on something daft but then it is a 19 year old car. I count myself lucky that I can afford to spend out on a super duper job.

    Where? Yours just look badly painted, and bumpers aren't too receptive to dye...

    Dont have any bumpers as it's BergCup.

    Was just commenting how your one pic was brighter like the original poster so not ideal to judge with.
