well...after this weekends efforts i repainted some of the inside (again!)and.....the loom is in . Not tidy but in! Not as bad as i thought it was going to be, but had to enlarge the main hole for some of the mk3 plugs to come through which will need re-sealing. in its current state....what a state
Awesome bit of work mate. Have you decided on a colour for it yet? I reckon to go with the grey. What brakes and suspension are you going to fit?
cheers guys luke: i'm pretty sure i'm going to stick with the grey now on the outside. Brakes and suspension will stay as standard vr stuff just to get it up and going. Then i'll upgrade as and when
Awesome thread. mine took 20 months to build and that was long enought for me started to loose my rag a bit, but you gotta keep plodding on. I love that colour m8. thats gonna look so tough when its finished and sound awesome too Keep us informed
todays exploits... master cylinder swapped and bolted up expansion tank, washer bottle and electrical box thing mounted up (btw, what is that electrical box? ) abs controller mounted to bulkhead wires tidied a bit on the inside
so can I ask you bluebus, did you have any prior knowledge of a vr6 conversion yourself? Or are you just a compitent person with some know how and hours of research?
