the red bus - VR in!

    i had no prior knowledge. Its debatable if i have any knowledge now! :lol:
    Did a fair bit of research before starting but basically i've just asked a lot of questions and followed a lot of threads on here and vortex. Its been done so many times that every question has been answered somewhere.

    thinking of giving it a go?

    abs box connected up using exisintg pipes and some 'home made' add-ons.

    rear beam swapped for VR one, instant disc conversion! :)

    also, new lifter pump in, fuel lines sorted, brakes bled and working well. Good afternoons work

    Its something I need to get round to buying one as well, but something else always comes as up as being more important.

    its a diagnostics port on the car you can plug a laptop into with some software and it picks up sensor faults etc. Not tried it, but meant to be very helpful

    also connected up a lot of the wiring, connected the gear linkage to the box (still not quite right), pluged the clutch pipe in and bled it

    my good lord looking back at this thread makes me realise how long i've taken so far on this thing! :lol:

    Anyway...got it running today on the turn of the key! which is nice. Just need to tidy up the wiring as it is a MESS to say the least, then need to build up the front end, put the coilies on, fit the seats, then start on the outside [:s]

    See you in another year! :lol:
