    yep, could explain it...or it could be that they wrok on some cars and not others.

    Ive got Avon all round which seem fine in all conditions.

    Had the A520's on all my previous GTI's and had no complaints (although nothing to compare them to), then had to change to the superceding A539's and they are indeed dreadful in the wet, and in damp/greasy conditions, even worse, don't want to hang on at all:o

    wolfsburg85, where abouts in derby did you get your proxes. i always used cts, but they seem to have hiked up prices

    Camskill are very good on price for Toyos, etc.
