Just read through the first post again, and i thought i had better update what is happening as it's a bit different now!

From cold if i just turn her over it takes around 10 secs for her to catch, when she catchs she idles at around 100 rpm and the battery light is on.

I hit the accelerator and she revs upand idles perfectly, around 1100-1200 for the first minute or so then down to the normal 960 rpm.

Turn off straight away and try it agin and she fires up great!

As the injectors are new, do you think it could be the meterign flap that is sticking once cold? can i spray a little wd40 on the flap, just lube it a little?

Could it still be the coil?

    Any ideas much appreciated

ok, fuel relay is fine, i am getting a new coil today.

I have been trying different things on start up this week, and the best i got is - i get in the car depress the accelerator fully, turn igntion on and then turn her over, she start very well.

So what does that indicate? any ideas?

    Thanks

I would suggest its a fuel seepage problem, as with the throttle wide open there is more air to help burn it all off?

The injectors are new though and they don't leak! That's the weird thing, i thought changing the injectors would cure this :(

If i can rule out fuel, what else could it be, air? could it be the metering flap is sticking and with full throttle it is being forced open?

what about the 5th injector? Or is that the WUR? I suppose it could also be poor fuel pressure, and with your foot down its forcing more to pass thru the metering head?

    I'm a bit of a novice on K-Jet sorry :)

The wur is seperate from the 5th injector, both are working fine, i even did a FAQ on the wur :) my fuel pressures are fine and the accumulator is fine also!

I have checked almost everything, and this is bugging me now :) once started, i can turn off straight away and she starts on the button, nothing has had a chance to warm up or build pressure! it very strange.

Cheers for that, read them all, similar symptoms, but mine runs great once started, it could be the metering head sticking, or the thermotime switch.

I'll check the 5th injector again, I did test it a few months back though!

Fitted new coil - no difference and tested 5th injector (works fine)!

With the 5th injector, how long should it supply fuel for once started? I know it works as you turn over asell - well mine does anyhow!

Now am i right in thinking that as soon as you start the engine the ISV should supply enough air for tick over?

If so maybe this is sticking for a few seconds once it has been left overnight and causing the problem!

Is there a way i can test for this, maybe heat the isv up with a hair dryer first thing and then start her?
