After you guys packed up your VR shenanigans and the board went through the quiet phase, i think lots of "common knowledge" like that disappeared from day to day discsussions too

Do you still own the mk2 Gary?

I have just last night re-purchased my mk3 16v off the mate I sold it to. It has no MOT or tax and he had it parked on the drive since he decided to go down the route of buying a soulless brand new smart car - he was going to scrap it and I simply couldn't let that happen, got a very good price for re-buying too - now back on my driveway and going in for an MOT tomorrow, crossing fingers that it doesn't need too much.

Damn I'm so excited, I forgot how awesomely well that engine pulled and handled - why oh why did I ever sell it!! :)

The mk3 passed her MOT today, woohoo! A couple of advisories for tyres and missing cambelt cover (been missing for years) but other than that, no issues! I'm well happy, can't wait to get her on the road again!

    Who needs a VR6!!

    ;)

Had a good look through your garage build thread and found it surprisingly interesting to see the progress!

I'm also jealous as I'd love to be able to build a garage to house my army of cars - need to stop renting and get deposit to buy first though!
