Whats The Fastest Car You Kept Up With???

A posh Mercedes convertible last summer (don't ask me the model, but I drive a Mk2 Driver). Down the main road in the middle of Nottingham, there are traffic lights every few yards, and for the first three sets, he was dozy, and I took off sharply, and he just caught me up at the next set, all on red. Then this Greek-god type male driver turned round and gave me the biggest, loveliest smile - then winked at me and left me in the dust as he disappeared into the distance!

It was quite funny, and made me smile all the way home.

I tried racing an E36 M3 the other night in my 2.8 and I got truly owned it was like he was sitting on my rear seats, just wanted to see how much faster they are, surprising what another 100Bhp does

Just want to actually go in one now

 

is there any fast cars out there so i can test mine

 

the fact that he thought he was going to win is worrying

Off the line race with a Saxo VTR (no passengers) using my Mum's 1999 Honda Civic 1.6LSi (5 door like a Rover 400) with a 4 speed auto box and + passenger...
We were neck and neck till I hit 3rd, then he crept forwards, but even then my front bumper was level with his rear bumper.

Whilst I didnt beat him - he was shocked!

Same road, similar circumstances... same Honda but this time a Chav'd Saxo VTR... big kit, neons etc. Chav + girlfriend. Beat him off the lights twice. After the 2nd time his girlfiend was hanging out the Saxo laughing. My passenger (Daljsd) and I we crying with laughter...

Joyriding in my Mum's humble Civic lol. Those were the days!

About 100k miles later one of the drive shafts snapped.... it looked like it had slowly been twisted over the years till it gave way... The mechanic was surprised to see the fatigue and said he would have expected something like that from a car that had been doing repeated rally starts... not being driven to Tesco by my Mum...

 

Radical SR3 for a few laps around Llandow on a track day in my mk1 8v Golf!

 

Did a new M3 off the lights in my Corrado, he managed to get along side after starting behind me but once I got into 3rd I was off.
Noticeably quicker than an S6 and modified NSX in my old S4.

Don't see many fast cars in the SW whilst out in my car so don't get to play very often.

I once had to brake mid corner because the Diablo in front was so slow.
