A Mint E-reg bmw m3 convertible that roared like the newer m3's, and a vectra 2.5 V6. On the other hand a 206 GTI I couldn't shake off kept with me up to silly figures.... (on track - obviously) All in my mk2 Valver! How bout you??
I kept up with a Ferrari F50, took him on the straight, then went back in time when my flux capacitor kicked in
well me ....just a nissan 300ZX twin turbo making 350whp, just when i had the 1.8 G60 turbo at just 12 psi, only to the road ended which was at the top end of 135mph. That was down by the ace cafe wembley.
If that's the North Circular.... I'm amazed Probably explains why I never go to those meets. Some really prize types you see there tbqfh.
I also pulled away from jab ba sports polo , it made 202whp 20v turbo think the bloke said had a ko3s and had the papers in the car to prove the power. This race was repeated 3 time and i beat him every time. Justup to 3thd gear......
I over took a John Deer 6030 with hedge trimmer attachment earlier today, no problem. On a blind bend, didn't even need NOS. Also kept up with a Bugatti Veyron the other night, in my sisters clio sport wiv K&N and Ripspeed tuning accessories (approx 112-367 horse pulling powers) with dyno print out to prove)). Check me the **** out
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ [****take]You are crazy mate, i overtook a GT3 that was parked up with no-one in it, boy did i show that car who was boss, OWNED or what [/****take] On a serious note, threads like this exist because we "old car owners" like to show people with "fast" cars that just because they've spent 30k plus doesn't mean that there car will outpace everything on the road. We "old car owners" like to remind them that for what can be minimal outlay we can mix it "with the best" and still have change not just for chips and a taxi ride home at the end of the night but more like own the fish an chip shop and the taxi rank with the difference of there "fast car" and our old car Put it this way, my new sleeper will have around 260bhp per ton and will cost me all of 1200 including a remap with the bits and bobs i have lying around as spares. This in comparison to say an R32 (not having a dig at it, purely for example) has 167bhp per ton and costs nearly 30 times that. Yes the R32 is an awesome car but it's bloody heavy and that is the downside of many a newer car, more toys, comfort aids and saftey features= more weight, bigger brakes, bigger wheels to fit over the brakes which means 250bhp sounds good until you divide it by the cars weight to get to a figure that actually means something in terms of performance and not something that a car sales man would use quite happily reel off of his tongue to promote a sale of a "fast car"
The r32 isnt aimed at an outright racer market, its modern EU compliant family car. If you want a comparable modern racer, try an Exige Cup.
