It won't ever be for sale but I'd expect the Syncro to be worth the sort of top-end prices you see typically being asked for Rallyes once I've finished having the bodywork done (including full re-paint in original burgundy metallic), considering it is a full Edition One specification G60 plus Syncro. Unlike the Rallye or standard 2WD G60 it's not something you see often so the price really is what someone wants to pay for it. Suppose it'd have to be 5K+. The total money I will expect to have spent paying for the car and then putting it into the body shop will probably be around 7K and that's before spending money on plastics, engine parts, etc.
for the monza 16v, I need to put a price on it soon for insurance nice and original, just need a decent set of bottletops bodywork is superb and its really clean inside and out so 1,800 - 2k that may be slightly optimistic for selling it, mind.
I dunno, early 8v Mk2 GTI, C reg with 120,000 miles, stripey interior all fine, no rust anywhere, doors, tailgate all solid, what i paid for it I guess, 500 quid Not that i'd ever sell it
'89 Driver - was given to me as a present. Value is priceless to me, though I suspect not very much to anyone else. I've had it six years, which is the longest I've kept any car ever!
I`d want 4000 to part with my MK2, nobody would pay that which is good as I don`t really want to sell it!.
Miss it already tbh, but at least i got top whack for it. Got a good deal on an A4 Avant and couldn't really justify to the missus having two everyday cars sitting on the drive. Toying with the idea of doing up a Mk1 at the mo though (not that she knows yet) .
Yours was very nice though! Mine wasn't quite so smart but it had been fun and trouble free for nearly three years. How's your R going? Think GVK mentioned it had 54k on the clock now! Any future plans for it? Really warming to the mk5 R32 despite it's minging grille. Think my gas guzzling car days are over for now though [:^(]
Did that with my last Mk1. She got home from work and i told her she needed to do a 100 mile round trip with me so that i could pick up my new project car . Didn't go down too well, but heh, she needed the practice
85 mk2 with GTI engineering mods from new: Plus pac head & schrick cam Ansa 4 branch & stainless standard pattern exhaust Ronal R8 alloys Bilstein suspension Zender rear spoiler Also fitted with votex centre console and VDO gauges. 4 owners and 93k. Good original paint. 1800-2k?
No plans at the moment. It's pretty much sorted now performance wise. It may have to go later this year anyway to free up some cash for a house purchase[:^(]
Christ I dread to think what the mk1's worth. Totalling 10k now and thats wihout any labour costs as I've done it myself. And the underneath is still to do. It just keeps adding up 4k+ of N/A engine..........bwaaaaaaaaaarp!
As a complete car it probably wouldn't fetch much, not much of a market for matt black, stripped out Mk2. Probably be lucky to get 1k. If I were to ever get rid of it, I'd break it. Would easily make over 2k, so would really lose out on what I've spent on it.
Some of the parts fitted to my car (and recent prices they've been sold for...) ZF Dog-leg Box 950 Original interior 350 Blydenstein Head 600+ Wheels 200+ Carbs 500 052 Back Axle 300+ Genuine Droopsnoot with 90k miles and been in the family since 1980? Priceless Realistically if someone wanted to buy it they'd need to be looking at offering me 7k+ and I'd probably still say no. (List price? 3500-4000 - never seen a decent one sell for that little in 4 years of watching the market)
The Mk 4 is by far the better car...I just miss the Mk 3 because it was easier to mod! Very limited in what you can do to an R32!
