    Mk1 GTI 1983 1800 8v
Hot cam and a bit of head work
    Respray in Lotus Azure Blue
    Clipper kit
    Audi 80 door handles
    GAZ adjustable coilovers
    280 mm disc conversion
    Ronal LS wheels
    Leather inside
    M3 style rear lights
    90k miles

Would like to think its worth 3.5k-4K

Theres some people on here with some seriously wrong ideas of somethings 'worth'.

    Audi A3 1998 T Sport
Remap, full milltek, TT comps, Konigsports, uprated discs etc, FSH up to 100K, full leather, all options.
    125K Miles

Maybe 3.5K If I'm lucky? And its a far better car than the equivalent Mk4 Golf (lighter car, nicer interior, Audi not VW).

So people thinking they can get 3K for Mk3s is a bit far fetched.

Very very good price! My bro sold his mk4 GTI 1.8t last year with:

remap, full miltek, 4-motion rear valance, RS4 reps, Forge 007p diverter valve, FK shocks & springs, Recaro sport seats with 140k for 3500 straight away! More like 4-4.5k for yours elucidate!

I've noticed mk3 gti's actually becoming cheaper thank mk2's now, but don't get how some VR6's are also cheaper than mk3 gti's!

you may get 6k for a mk2 from one special person, but there is a fairly limited market for these things.

Will's Rallye sounds great tho, but for 8k hmmmm

Doubt I'd get 8k for it if i was to try and sell it, at the end of the day I built it for myself and I doubt I'll ever sell it. Gonna chuck a few more $$$ at it to get it to about 450bhp, will be supercarish performance then for sub 10k, I'll be more than happy with that :)

    An insurance company paid me 3K for a 95 Mk3 8V GTI
I thought I was doing well to get this amount since the car stood me at 2K

that MUST have been a major clerical error

insurance companies aren't interested what a car owes you - you should have got 500.

As it stands mine is pretty much worthless.

    1990 Valver with -

ABF - covered 7k since full rebuild
    Gearbox Rebuilt 35k ago
    280mm Front brake conversion
Braided brake lines all round + Uprated discs and pads all round
    Brand New Rear Calipers
    AVO Coilovers
G60 Steels with Toyos - all covered 4k
    Couple of strut braces

    I think that's about it.

Biggest problem is the paint (or lack of), and no TAX or MOT. Good job I'm not selling it really.
