there is a white 5 gtt quite near to me that i see now and again which looks nice, also im sure i saw a renault 21 very near to me in a garage when i drove past but didnt get a proper chance to see exactly what it was. I went and looked at 2 5 gtt's before i got my golf gti and would of bought the 2nd one i had seen if the lad had been there as agreed, then inbetween me being able to go the next weekend he sold it to someone else, was in my favourite tungsten grey and it was lowered on black renault turbines. I still want to get one at some point in the future, need to get my golf on the road and get some money fom somewhere first though, lol!

Just spotted this thread. I seen a very nice rs turbo series 2 in Bristol on Thursday. Being 17 in 97 most of these were becoming affordable for me and my mates and insurance then was from 500 - 1500 as it was a rural area NFU did some good deals.

However I remember a lot of these cars having a premature end and more friends than I care to mention!

The worst being a friend going to life boat sout in will ams Clio he had 50mph head on and burst into flames.

Golfs always seemed to protect you well as one friend walked away every time he wrote of a mk2 3 in total he still only drives vw and still can't drive!

Besides the accidents I just don't think many of the others were built as well as the vw I know a few people with garages cossie but they hardly see light of day.

Back in 1989 when i served my time as a mechanic at a rover garage we had an "oldish" woman who used to bring her Lancia Delta Integrale wi full martini livery in for a service - i say she was oldish but looking back i guess she was a bit of a "milf" - mid 30's, at the time i was only 17 and was more interested in her car but all the other mechanics used to fight over who got to service her car or possibly her as well? - i would give my spare kidney for that car now, shame i'd have to sell the remaining kidney to afford to run/insure and service it though.

On a similar note here's a youtube vid of Bruno's s4 lancia hillclimb beast, i want this as well.

Yesterday i saw a dark blue Ford Fiesta Rs 1800i. Very rare car as only a few thousand were ever made. Wish i had got a picture now. Anyone remember these. It also reminded me of the Mk5 Escort Rs2000 they released!

Used to have a Mk5 RS2000, was very fast with lovely untouched recaros in. But it was RUSTY, and I mean turning to dust before your eyes. Needed a reshell which we didnt bother doing so got sold on. Some fecker nicked the wheel centres as it was sitting there for a while too. Oh and someone tried to break in it to steal the Kenwood stereo but couldnt get into it because it flipped back into the dash. They didnt even damage the car lol, must have just used the old coat hanger trick. Shame as the engine was fantastic.

    Not the best pic:

It's easy? press the [IMG] button and copy anything after the "=" sign from your youtube link between the youtube brackets like so:

    [Y0UTUBE]ARvesNfkXAs[/Y0UTUBE]

    ends up like this:

Edit: fiesta that is not rs2000, we did used to get a mk5 rs2000 in but like the fiesta it was scrapped because of rust!
