    I beat a 1989 911 Carrera once.
    I was driving a 1.2 Nova saloon!

    The difference was I knew the roads, didn't have an oversteer problem I couldn't control, got infront early and was prepared to risk my 700 machine to shut him up.
    (I actually knew the other driver!)

    Now I know that I could have beaten him in other situations because he lacked balls.
    I am not foolish enough to think my 1.2 Nova is a 911 eater.

    Point is if your mate is a muppet, you WILL beat him..doesn't matter what car.

    got to be the most entertaining site for a sunday night...& occassionally fri/sat (sad f***)...

    Tub sorry mate bit off topic but what does your mk2 put out in pub figures? Whats it like to drive?

    I dont know about these crazy fast machines you all drive & female dog about, but i just got back from germany (holiday) got into my mk3, dropped the hood and blasted around my local country roads - 115bhp in the lardiest frame ever but damn arent cars fun! lol[:$]

    He's probably right. I've not driven an FRS and probably never will (we don't have them here and if it's anything like the ST170, I don't want them either :lol:)

    Judging by the gear ratios, weight and power/torque (plus the fact that the FRS would have a lot less drivetrain loss), the R32 would really be struggling to keep up in a straight line I reckon.
