Found these figures in a back issue of VW Driver.

    A mk3 VR6 and a Mk4 GT TDI PD (115)

    VR6&nb sp;TDI
    Power& nbsp;174&nbs p;115
    Torque 173&nb sp;210
    0-60&n bsp;7.1&nbsp ;8.0
    0-70&n bsp;9.6&nbsp ;10.5
    30-50 (3rd)5.4&nbs p;4.0

    30-50 (4th)6.9&nbs p;5.7

    50-70 (3rd)5.1&nbs p;5.2

    50-70 (4th)7.1&nbs p;6.2

    50-70 (5th)9.5&nbs p;7.0

    Fuel C'sump25.1&n bsp;47.9

And that's only the 115 TDI.

just looked it up, it's actually 10 seconds.

    130 does it in 9.3

    150 does it in 8.3

Hmmmm. Well you can quote whatever you like obviously, however my Audi A4 115 PD does 0-62 in 9.6 secs according to the manual. So 0-60 should be around 9 secs. The Golf is quite a bit lighter....

    Cheers,

    Drew.

dont forget that if you drive a diesel and use the performance then it will still drink loads of fuel, and you will have to listen to it rattling away.
