    quick update

i spoke to Circuit Supplies 01525 385888 and they recomneded the ds2500s brake pads

the part number for my brakes is frp502 is anyone needs that

    prices were as follows

Rally Design didnt sell them but sold the

Willwood Poly "D" pads 39.50+ vat 8 postage

    Circuit Supplies
    ds2500' were 64 + vat and postage

    motorsport world
    same as above

    Demon tweeks

58+vat + 7 postage but they price matched and did them all in for 64 incl postage

they also sold the Ferodo 4003 pads at 59 but nobody has mentioned them yet so i gave them a mis

Thanks again for the help looks like i will get the Motul RBF600 brake fluid and i need to sort out the rears then thats the brakes done

Chassis bits are almost done i think thats the important bits before i concentrate on the engine :)

dude, the 4 bleed nipples are the same as on mine, there is one for each piston in the brakes, you have to bleed all 4, but you do two at a time then move the caliper and bleed the other two.

Dot 3 brake fluid is min requirement for brake systems in USA (Wilwood being a US company....).

Thought i would answer this question for you. [:-B]

Dot 3 fluid is a basically glycol based fluid.

Dot 4 is Glycol based with Borate Ester added to give higher BP.

    and

Dot 5.1 is basically Dot 4 Fluid (but with a bit more Borate Ester) and the chemicals are of controlled viscosity so that it gives higher BP but mostly gives more linear expansion when hot.

Trouble is the more Borate Ester you add the more hygroscopic the Fluid becomes, therefore you will normally have to change DOT 5.1 fluid more regularly due to water ingress.

    Jon

PS I have Wilwood Midilites (280mm) with polymatrix pads ( pads are poo!)

So if Polymatrix (?) and Hawk pads are poo, you can't get DS2000, 2500 or 3000 for Midilite's, has anyone else found any alternatives ?

I know that there aren't many options but even those are reducing. I've just purchased Poly 'E''s for my Midilite's !

    AVOID Poly D's.... shockingly bad
    DS2500 or 3000 work well
