Started to go round the whole car and sort out all of the dents chips and rust spots, there are loads! never knew there where so many till i looked lol

Also smooting over some parts of the car, done the rear vw badge, golf gti badge and rear wiper. I also want to smooth the side indicators, does anyone know if this is illegal?? ino you dont need these to pass an mot so cant see how it would be.

Also taking the door safety plate off from around the handle as i really dont like the look of them, i was going to put mk3 handles on but thought i would keep the mk2 look.

There's not many pictures as i lost my camara and had to take them off my phone, but found it now so will get some more today.

Rear is also painted in grey now, but the colour match was not very good. I used the paint code...

    LP7V Altas Grey

But ive now found another one that is...

    LY7Q Altas Grey Metallic

So im guessing that were im going wrong, but if anyone know anywhere i can get a good paint match please let me know. Thanks[:D]

Yes going to be resprayed, cant decide on a colour/colours tho, guy whos helping/doing the painting wants it to be black from the roof down to the windows then grey underneath, with a orange line between the two colours, but im still not sure.

Yeah you do need them for an MOT..? Most will overlook it though :)

Good work, I'd never dare undertake that amount of work myself! I have no patience with paint!

Probably already said, but what's the end result going to be?

Ah i see well i know my garage quite well so should be ok, it past on its mot a month or 2 ago with no left side indicator so hopefully be ok.

Ahh its not to bad really just alot of sanding and filling to do! does hurt your arm all the sanding tho!!

Well i think the final result is just going to be keeping it all in atlas gray, was thinking about a black roof but not so sure now.

Any one got any ideas? I wanna keep it in altas gray just because it will make things alot easier, just wanted to add something else but not to sure what??

make sure you get a big tank on the compressor or it runs out off puff quick and the coat becomes uneven!
