Only marginally heavier than the 288mm set up, but with vastly improved braking. Handling won't be affected - a lot of people have done the 312mm conversion with no ill affects.
Smooth green hammerite may be a perfect match but its not heat resistant and will go soft under heat. Trust me
Well the Golf 16V & Corrado G60 both had their calipers treated with smooth hammerite will no problems.
The brakes are on. Trying to bed them in first before give them a proper test, but they do feel a lot better than the old ones. Edited by: Jon TDI
Yes, absolute bargain! Can already feel the difference with only 30 miles on them! It feels like the car is almost complete now. I've got my eye on a Milltek turbo back exhaust & then that's it. I'll have the car the way I want it. Except for the FMIC that Forge have just developed!
Out of interest what is the performance of the car? e.g 0-60, quarter mile, top speed since the re-map as standard figures alone don't seem to do the cars performance justice-let alone after your re-map
