New oilpan is on its way. 4.6 ltr Baffled Oil Sump from INA Engineering/Moroso. Will order a new comp. wheel for the turbo around new year, caused damage to the blades when it was in the Dyno bench. Have been started looking for someone to take the paintjob on the car. Did also relocate the v-band clamp, to get a chance to disassemble it when standing on the ground. Got hold of some new 15" wheels a while ago..Anyone seen these before? Its 7x15", think it was ET32. Melber
alloys look the similar to these ats wheels below http://www.swdubs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19209 like the 16v turbo power
The engine with new INA Baffled Oil Sump, and Ferrari inspired valve cover with wrinkle paint. Intake manifold did also get some layers of black wrinkle paint, will see tomorrow how the result will be Happy new year!
ahh yeah.. Updates from the last months Blasted underneath and in fender wells. Body primer. Also had to do some work on the fenders. No rubbing here Fender wells finished in Marsrot. Engine bay finished in Rosso Corsa 300/12 And some assembling. The bodywork on the rest of the car will be started very soon.
Hey thanks. The Moroso pan is a really nice piece of work. I am using coils from the TFSI engines, they seem to be a bit longer than the older ones so it wont interfere with the plug holes without too much work. The ECU is a Haltech E6X standalone, running seq. Direct Fire and Multipoint injection.
Been a while since Ive been in this forum. The car is hopefully ready for paint within a couple of months. Meanwhile, its time for some barbecuing! Heres a pic when Ive just finished up the catchtank.Did also at a later time move the battery at the back for better weight distribution. New black wrinkled boost pipes with black silicone couplers is also mounted. Also bought a new bolt-in aluminium radiator.A bit larger,so now I got rid of the cooling problems when my foot is getting to heavy on the throttle.
Freshly painted wheel housing at the front and the back, like new! It was really nescessary to do some cutting in here also, have to get clear of the semi-slicks And also a onboard video from the autoslalom driving.Sorry for the bad sound.
