lol Intercooler, radiator, 2 oil/supercharger oil coolers, water pipes wiring then ignition key. It will happen SOON
Saturday gave us some surprise weather. Sunshine even though rain was suppose to be with us all day so I went to the lock up and fitted my birthday present from my grandsons.. All the gubbins to assist with fitting.. Whiteline Swaybar.. Fitted bar to rear axle for ease of fitment... Then attached to either side of shock mount. Not bad for a couple hours work. Getting to old for this lying on the floor lark.
What size exhaust tubing did you go for? Mines going in on sat and Im over a barrel between 2.5 and 3"
This is really getting there now. You must be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel Any timescale for when it`ll be finished ?
Hi Nige it's the little bits to finish off that is time consuming. I won't put a finish time on it but club gti will be the 2nd to know
While i am waiting for a few alloy bits to turn up and to get a slot with the welders i thought i would sack the old rear screen wiper and instead of a bung i fitted a more updated wiper.. Old wiper.. New wiper.. New wiper fitted. Also updated the header tank after i saw this.. My one is still to be fitted...
CHOP CHOP is what's next.. Bumper bar ready for the knife.. Bumper iron after the chop chop.. A little clean up and holes drilled.. Intercooler and bumper iron are one.. Test fitting
Stunning work bud. No movement on my own, still finishing off a rebuild on my G/fs mk2... Have most of the hardware now though.
DHL has me on lock down Monday to Friday Saturday is for running around getting things welded or modified to my liking and Sunday is family/chill time so yes slow progress but it will happen soon
What can i say not much happening at the moment as i have been waiting for a specific part to be custom built and until that is complete Updates are on hold. Wish i had studied metal work while at school i wouldn't have to be kept waiting.
