as did we... the manifold we made from ordinary steel , using Bosal Exhaust tubing for runners . Crude , but cheap and it works.... when you're happy you've it right , than you can remake it in alloy or stainless .

Do you have a crude diagram or something for the manifold? Is it possible to butcher a inlet manifold and use samco hosing or similiar like jolfas idea?

I've finished my bike carbs conversion on my KR engined corrado although its yet to be dyno'd so don't ask about power.

I used ZX9R Keihin's and a bogg brothers jetting and a bogg custom manifold.

Very simple conversion really. Rag all the old injection stuff out. bolt up mani and carbs, fit pump and reg (I used a red top pump and a malpassi filter king reg).

The only real concern I had was the water outlet on the head was seized so surgery was needed on that. Then I found that even an ABF water outlet fouls the Keihins.
For the moment I've got away with chopping it down (it's plastic and cheap) and it's working at the moment using some superflex samco hose.
I will get Forge motorsport to build a custom ali one before I do a track day in it though.

Also, just to note ont the keihins, there are little nodules on the bottom of each carb. They fould the alternater... chop em off, makes no difference (I checked on the Kawasaki parts diagram).

Not tried different ram stacks yet as not been dyno'd so can't offer advice on that.

for a note, I used an ITG sausage filter...

    see the pic

    Read the first post dude...

Paulrhodes - did you keep the standard pumps on the car ASWELL as the red top pump, or bin the standard pumps?

The Facet Red Top will work fine on it's own, you dont need any other pump. You just need to find a space to mount it in. Then use a regulator, like a Filter King, to get the pressure correct.

So I would have to bin the existing pumps (both or not?) then? That's all I'm asking [><]

Yes, main pump, lift pump and accumulator. You may have to change to the carburettor fuel gauge sender unit which doesn't have the lift pump attatched, or just keep the lift pump in there, I dont think it would do any harm feeding the Facet Red Top.

I left the lift pump in.. runs fine. Obviously the main pump is gone. Lift pump, red top, regulator basically.

Some people retain the bike fuel pump , but if I were doing that I'd use 2 , personally .

Can you tell me how much this cost you all in???

Also, what's the fuel consumption like? Is it as bad as carbs??

I'm thinking about running my 1.9 KR 16v on something like Megasquirt and running EFi, that way I can get it mapped and have a decent fuel consumption....

    Sure..

    Manifold - 176
    Carbs - 50
    Rubbers, stainless jubilees etc 30
    Rejet of carbs 40
    Regulator 30
    Fuel pump 80
    ABF water outlet 10
    ITG filter 90
    ITG backing plate 20
    fuel pipe and ancillaries 30

    Quite a bit really...

Consumption is hard to say really as it's not been perfectly set up yet... At the mo the fuel consumption is pretty **** poor. 25mpg I guess..

    HTH

    Megasquirt and EFI sounds interesting.
