But you'll never have problems with "slow flow" again - you'll piss like a racehorse......

Blimey what a palava !!Should have kept quiet i think, i blame vindis for giving the wrong info in the first place .If the bloke in the parts dept had said in the 1st place there are no shell bearings just caps ... [:s]

one more question ! as nothing internaly (or possibly externally) in an engine works in isolationthen whats the best pistons i can fit while i have the head off wanna get them balanced with the con rods etc and poss get the bores x hatched wanna build a good strong engine (1.8 dx inj86)

The besr pistons? That would open a whole new can of worms.......
You probably don't need new ones, piston wear in the 4-pots is pretty slow and not really worth worrying about unless you're boring out. Just a hone and a new set of rings will normally sharpen the old thing up.....

Quality cheers mate. Not going to rebore but need to take into consideration that my engine has done 227 thou. Although it`s got a full vwsh not sure how much i trust it As some main dealers in my experience tend to just park it up and give the old filter a wipe over, and not bother with much else!.Got another one for you.Is there a flywheel i can fit from another motor thats lighter say off a 1.3 or 1.6? I want it to rev quite high:)

A hone and a set of rings might be your best bet, then. No lighter flywheels that'll fit, but it's cheap to get your own done.......
