"Panasonic, not particularly brilliant, especially compared to LG and Samsung." crack, you smoke it! Only the newer Samsungs are any good, panasonic panels have been consistently good for the past 4 years at least, and lcd, plasma all the way, led isn't much cop either. and I own a samsung 42" samsung monitor and an LG phone. but for a living room tv, Panasonic comes out top, imo of course...
This too I can't believe the hype around it this time, it WILL die out again. All the manufacturers and studios must be in cahoots behind the scenes as everyone is pushing it! I can't get on the PSN 'cos the damn 3d update, and a sky 3d channel, wtf, leave it out!
Nah, I don't do drugs And I don't think he's buying a 3 year old TV, so the comparason to older Sammy's (which weren't the best) is moot. Maybe I should clarify, with a budget of 500, you are NOT going to get a better Panny than Sammy, full stop. If you're talking unlimited budget, then MAYBE, however Panasonic demands a price premium vs features compared to others out there. Being rated consistenly brilliant by the Gadget show is not exactly a fair testimonial, as they are ONLY considering the Tech, NOT the price tag.
they either seem cheap, because they are small, 32" for 350 or mega money because they are moosive! 46" and 600+
first ebay link up thewre ^^^^^^ I know it's far from you, but the tv is good, and it's a decent prie...
I bought a Samsung Series 6 in 40" for 300 I win on best deal hands down Oh and the TV is very good and looks the part too.
don't want free sat, want freeview. Liverpool? clearly nicked! "like new" yeah yeah. want it from a proper shop
just go to richer sounds, you can get refundable warranty. If you don't use it you get the money back. check out TV discussions here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/
John Lewis is the best place to buy tellies - they price match and give out free 5 year guarantees...
Will take a look at it over the weekend, think we had looked at some samsungs before and the case was awfulfake carbon fibre look to it, GF thought it looked ugly which i had to agree to.
buy the Samsung 530 from Tesco's. It is smack in your budget, looks much much nicer than the older plasticy samsungs and has the red glass at the bottom which matches your curtains and the picture quality is fantastic. http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-1026.aspx I am currently playing world superbikes on mine in my bedroom and I guess I am about as far away as you would be in a lounge and it is big enough without seeming massive
Whats the difference between that and this? Sameish but ones a B model others a C and ones fair few quid cheaper. http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/samsung/le40b530/sams-le40b530
That's the actuall one we're after. It has all the features we want, AND most importantly the redish / purple bit at the bottom matches the 'look' of the living room I'm told.
