I have news for the cap, you have to put a plug : 058 103 703

A friend told me the big problem by increasing the oil flow on a KR ... is that you're going to send too much oil in the cylinder head .
The return oil from the cylinder head KR is much smaller than ABF and 9A or you risk so that the oil can not come down fast enough in the crankcase.
    Do you have the problem?

the 058 103 703 is the same of the ABF but the diameter is for KR.

as I say so far as I knew the abf/9a pump swaps right into a kr, the only difference being the waisted stem for clearance to the 2.0 internals and deeper pump assembly with taller gears.

the oil return on the kr is also the same inside I thought, plenty have swapped kr heads to 2.0 lumps with no problems whatsoever and vice versa. no mention of this difference here:

First thanks a million for all information found in this thread!

This setup that gosy had in his EG got me thinking. The original EG cylinderhead is as we know lacking the extra oil return hole and the existing return hole is smaller in diameter, going G60 oilpump should be a recipie for disaster?

Reason i'm asking is that i'm planning on installing a hydro mk2 head on a EG block. The greater need for oil flush in cylinderhead going hydraulic tappers I should get a bigger Oilpump.

Am I better of getting the KR pump then or is there another way of handling the greater need for oil return?

    Thanks Olle

Just to clairify is it not advised to fit the ABF pickup to a KR pump in a KR engine?
