oooooh merc e320cdi, one with nice wheels etc they can look great, go like stink and hopefully you can find a non rotten one
No, no, no. Do not go there. ****e cars, BMW were busy making the greatest large saloon cars on earth whilst Merc screwed up their own quality and reputation with Chrysler. Addison Lee (London's largest private hire firm outside Black Cabs) have used E-Classes for years, and the drivers don't mind admitting they spend more time up on ramps than on the road. Bought purely on image, and it's a pretty dull one at that. CLKs aren't to well built either, but seem to hold their value. W208 CLK55 AMGs are a downright steal.
yeah, id heard they were bad but seen how bad in real life. there was one on pisotnheads lately with over 500k miles though and it was apparently no hassle
Matt i went in an rs4 the otherday and it was lambo fast so if your gonna spend, spend properly and if your thinking of getting a merc, at least get something with an amg badge and nooooo deisel, its **** from satan.
it was just a passing thought, ive passed more silly ideas this week than ive passed wind. tbh the S4 is still top of the pile idea wise, i may try and take advantage of a scrapage scheme thing too if i can find anyone looking to buy something new heres one im chasing this weekend.. hope youll see it flash you one morning next week
and there is a damaged one in manchester that could be cheap too the silver one looks proper bo though. women will flock
estate version ftw, been thinking of selling my gwd 20vt one and splash out for a s4 for ages, but cant justify a s4 as a work 'van' really. Still i like mine, lots of nice touches in the interior and feels modern despite being nearly 10yrs old. Only thing i will say is mine is the 'sport' and even with the harder and lower suspension its still abit of a boat.
the wheels are ******* enormous so it could hardly make them look small. shouldnt get carried away though, im almost talking about it like ive already bought it
First thing I thought was it was a bit too silver, if there can be such a thing. Darker wheels would be nice
seen another on ebay and it goes a little something like this advert says "The car is clean inside out has been well looked after no expense spared drives beautiful" "Service history: Yes" I ask "can you let me know how long you have had the car, do you have all MOT slips, what service history the car has, do you have receipts for work carried out, whether it is modified?" "i have taken it in part ex with something else has no serice history with the car and it's not modified in any way" (when its blatently lowered..) another one to take off the list
might still be worth a look, someone has ruined it by lowering etc, you'll do them a favour by taking it off their hands
70k miles with no history and hes lied in the advert... wont even consider looking at that one. plenty more fish in the sea, including a 220k mile one with LPG on autotrader
They're all knackered IMO. The servicing regime is insufficient to keep such a high performance engine in good working order. BMW turbo diesels eat turbos for the same reason. You have to hand it to the Japs in this respect, servicing intervals are well short on their high performance motors, just what's needed VAG Long-life oil
zakly. not all s4s were on variable servicing. apparently it wasnt uncommon for them to be on the same oil for 18k miles. nutters
