Engine, yes. Rest of car - avoid.

S4 will do you proud, lovely cars.
Silver body needs black or graphite wheels imo, otherwise it's just too bland.

There was an S8 on here that had black wheels put on it that totally ruined it. You dont start painting wheels on a car like that unless your a chav.

graphite grey would look nice, with the silver wheels it doesnt really stand out at all.. could be a 2.5TDI sport unless your a car geek

modern autos are pretty clever, manual boxes/cluthces have a hard time with powerful and heavy cars.

obviously not the same as ripping up through the gears, but most of the time you can't tell the 7s changed gear, it's just linear thrust everywhere. and you still have the tiptronic gate to play silly buggers with

BM auto boxes have a habit of giving up, even on the smaller models. It's another example of long-life oil not being up to the job. Renault realise this tho:o the engine on a v6 auto espace has to come out on the 80K service....for the auto box oil to be changed. That's why they're so cheap with 75K on the clock:lol:

Here we go, from Honest John:

General Warning about Automatic Transmissions: Many BMWs have "sealed for life" automatic transmissions. Regardless of whether you have a full BMW service history, the dealer will never change the auto fluid. Many of these boxes are failing around the 120-150k mark - often well outside of warranty and to a cost of 3.5k plus VAT. A good independent or automatic transmission specialist www.fedauto.co.uk can and will change the fluid for you (and any good BMW independents will recommend this anyway). This is commonplace in the US and means the 'box should last the life of the car rather than being the cause of it being written off. General advice is ensure the fluid is flushed out every 60k or more preferably at each Inspection II.
