You don't need decent brakes on a dragstrip car, at Santa Pod and most other tracks, there is enough road to lift off, gradually let the car slow then gently brake, and still make the 1st exit (used to be the 2nd exit until someone had a nasty crash at the old 1st exit, so they sealed it up).
indeed you are correct i remeber now debating your tyres whilst under the influence the bar was open!! what make are they paul ive been looking but can only find them in 13 inch not 15inch
I know brakes only slow you down but its a road car thats heavy and it needs big brakes i cracked my last rotors with hard braking
So was Pizza Hut! Not sure I should be giving away my secrets....but, they're Yokohama Advan 032R, mine are 185/60R13
i might see if my rear wheels will fit on the front with my slicks offsets are different if they do ill drive down with them on the back and swap them over down there ! I will have to cut them at my mates garage !
Thats fighting talk my seats will have to come out and ill have a s**t before the race ! Ill win then !lol
Well, I'm up for a "comparison" of the cars at a recognised event, unfortunately funds are rather low at the moment so we might have to delay it a little while. I live 220 miles from London Volksfest so its a logistical nightmare to attend that one; possibly VW Action on Sunday's RWYB???
im good for that 1 paul just in the process of changing jobs to one where i dont work weekends so ill probaly start becoming a regular at strip events oerr
on slicks and hundred weight of lead in the footwells lol would be a good comparison like paul says paul you up for camping again lol bar will be open
