    so far so good been a bit slow,rad on coolant in o/s rad mounting done got n/s to do tomorrow,turbo and intercooler pipes on just a couple of clamps missing,fair bit of wiring to do I'm waiting for the relay plates.

    test fit of bumper make sure nothing touching ,got bonnet catch to sort out then paint rail and it can be bolted back on ,

    done some more wiring ,got the fuel pump relay and fuses to sort out and ignition switch then its turn key and prey time

    thats ecu relay fuelpump relay and fuses finally wired in to the car thanks got rubjonny my hero for sticking with me on this,my post traumatic stress and short term memory loss causes so much stress I have to keep going back to it then I have forgot what I was doing and have to start all over again.thanks and respect to you regards George

    o2 wired in now thanks just starter motor to ignition switch,fuel return pipe,couple of vac pipes and turn key and see what happens,fingers crossed

    SHE'S ALIVE did fuel return last night and starter wire this morning turned key to check fuel feed that's ok a quick flick to check starter wiring and boom she breaths fire ,the music with no exhaust at all not even a front pipe ye gods,so better start doing exhaust today

    still got some bits to do yet breather and catch tank going to put a new rad on as well the old one was for a mockup for brackets,started the turbo down pipe that's about done.il do a vid when I get a few more bits sorted

    aye the cheap usb vagcom cables off ebay dont include the full VCDS-lite software, so you got to buy that separate if you need the extra features.

    the expensive vag-com cables have the licence built into the cable instead, and you use the full VCDS software with it. Be sure to buy a genuine cable if you go that route, as the VCDS can often detect a naughty cable and wipe it!

    got my new vag com pluged in to do tb and it says error on the adaption box on the left any ideas

    do you have any fault codes logged, think its got to be clear of any codes that affect ecu running before it will adapt (so things like airbag and abs comms are no problem, but sensor codes would be an issue)

    what procedure are you following as it can differ depending on age

    yes got 17987 adaption not started ,tried doing it and the end box adp says error ,.my battery isn't the best would this be a problem ive tried another tb and its the same ,.if I press throttle it works
