Basically, just compile all the info on the VERY SIMPLE PROCESS of fitting 280's on a mk2, and make it a sticky.

It's driven me mad for years. It's as bad as the T4 forum for leisure battery and insulation threads....

As one of the guilty parties, I have to agree with this.

P.S. PhatVR6 what calipers do I need to use if i want to upgrade to 280mm? ;)

also, was thinking - is there much point going to 288mm? the 8mm can't make that much difference can it?

    thanks

Can I get 280 mm rear discs & caliper spacers, and is there any risk of lock up? Ta.

i ran 288's on the back, with 256 on the front as the mk3 had such a heavy rear end and it was fine. I even put more fluid in the back line's to beef it up and still no locking. ABS was going mad for some reason though

actually MK3 280mm calipers & carriers are the same as G60 items, its only the bearing carriers that differ. see this is why we need a sticky!

can't we just have a chat facility a bit like facebook does? and just leave rubjonny in there to answer all the questions?

then we can just have the general chat/music/members gallery section? would tidy the forum up no end

Depends what you've got on the front! You'd need to change the brake bias valve, probably for a manual one. Nige on here runs a manual bias valve on his track toy.

Sorry, yes, agree. It's just that some people will see a Mk3 280mm kit on fleabay and will ask whether they can put it straight on, as some of the Mk3s are 4 stud
