think the consensus on that is some fit and some dont. from what ive read there are 2 different offsets available, 1 set fits the other does not. however 16v calipers + 280mm carriers = narrower caliper = more clearance for RAs
This is correct they do not. Did this years ago on my then WOLF using MK3 calipers and carriers for 280mm disk. Turns out the 16v stuff is for a 20mm wide disk and the MK3/Corrado/G60 jobs are for a 22mm wide disk. Unless you are prepared to get the grinder out, or change to a different offset wheel, your RAs will rub. In the end I had to fit Estorils to solve. As you would expect not a problem with G60 steel wheels or RMs.
Good question, very important. No the disk tends to wobble without it and will not center...Does reduce unsprung wait though.
When I fit my 288's under my 10" mini-lites do I need to wd40 the disk and pad to prevent the disk rusting and stop break squeel?
Well that's a good question i personally would use some of this. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CASTROL-Red-Rubber-Grease-500G-tub_W0QQitemZ110499919446QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item19ba4ef656 It will stop your squeal
Will the git that didn't see me in their blind spot this morning forcing me to test out my 256mm brakes please burn in hell, whilst repaying me for the alloy he caused me to knacker on a kerb? Ian...
Which bit on the Brake pad do I put copper grease? I assume its between pad and disk so that it makes it easier to remove later on?
^^ copper grease go's on the disc facing bit otherwise they will bond when they get hot and you wont be able to move. Put superglue on the back of the pad, otherwise it can 'fall' onto the disc at high speeds and be very dangerous
