I do like that Jetta :) Almost as much as I like VW-Page ;)

Be honest though, if they were uk cars they'd get slated.

Won't be liking my next set (if / when I get them) then. :)

That dark one with the grill all the way accross the front. :o How?! Lights just shine through? Mech? Is it legal? I want that. [8D]

Oh and Andy... Where's your fuel filler cap going then? I don't think it's the light mod you're doing. :p

    IN FACT...

    My money is on:

Fuel filler cap where the VW badge normally goes, with a VW emblem on it.

Everyone that is overly vocal of their opinion. Everyone that makes personal comments regarding people who build cars to a particular style. Everyone that spends more time at a show slating it, knocking and finding fault with them, than walking past and finding something they do like.

    Not by me they wouldn't!

And as for the white steelies - I just don't think the colour works on that particular car. They might on another!

Not quite what I meant Darren, I'm referring to short sightedness. Comments regarding the Dutch Golf on TT rims; 'Why doesn't anybody over here do anything like that?' yet all we here is that 17s are too big, G60 arches don't work with narrow wheels, the interior would have been slated been called shi7e than referred to as a work in progress.

    Anyone with more info on:

Even more pictures would be ace too. [:D]

Don't think it'd be fantastically hard - cutting and shutting two grils, plastic weld, smooth, spray... Probably wouldn't even have to set the lights back.

Thing is - is it legal here?

Darren - not white steelies for me... Guy is selling these fairly cheap and, providing I have change from the GTI (increasingly unlikely) I'm taking them.

Orciari grille, iirc the headlight covers move electrically when you turn the lights on.

Those Orciari grilles are fantastic! I've had a look on eBay - nothing. Had a look on Google - couldn't find anything.

Anyone know where they are / how much they cost? With the Renault 19 scoop it'd look ace! [:D]

Failing that... How legal is the cut / shut grille idea? Wouldn't be much different in concept to that orange MK1 which had a grill accross the lights, similar to the one posted above too.

I think people should stop slating other peoples cars so much. For example RichGits car had mixed opinions but I think its great that he dared to do something different. Alot of peoples problem is they are too stuck in their ways, retro can only last so long and you have to move on = euro styling. Another example is so many people just have single lamp grilles on their MK2, I've decided I'm going to leave mine quad light set up as it looks more meaty and stands out from the norm now. Bodykits should not be feared as long as they are developed properly and not try to make old cars look new, they should be received well imo.

Remember "Dare to be different" people :)

I hope so or this is just going to get worse and most VW's will become complete clones of each other.
