So can someone clear this up for me as i'm confused how to fit these from what i've asked the sellers?

The power for the lights come direct from the battery?? I.e. needs wiring direct to the battery and earth? I got told they're powered by the original light circuit?

I'm not getting bi-beam, but i just assumed its a plug and play type set up??

Anyone give me a dummies run down before I commit to a purchase

Altern8 - hope you got the kit suitable for duty cycle light system, if not it may put a warning light on or not work!

putting that aside I've just fitted 8K's to my mk 4 (same sort of clear lenses as mk 5), OH my god the cats eyes have never been brighter!

kit really easy to fit to mk4 & totally hidden away- found the light to really clear,
oncoming number plate & road signs reflecting back at a reasonable distance

was bit on edge past couple days as been at a VOSA site, not one issue I wanted to bring up [:|] ;)

Cheers Crispy I got the one a few links up. It came with the special bulb holders and the error warning box's

Gill said his didnt need any power from the battery so it looks like it might be a straight plug and play jobbie

Stu, where did you get your kit from? which kit is it?

my faulty ones have gone, got refunded (mostly), going to try again.

What kits arnt 'fake' copies as such? are genuine? and not to heavily priced.

also stu what did you use for your sidelights? i cant find white twisting in bulbs, only the slot in type.
