    Everybody Offline - looking good
On my Rallye I made a device that run the water spray system , uses a simple 555 timer and a push to make backlit switch , so when giving it some I press the button on the dash ( modded one of the blank switches ) and it runs for about a minute then turns off and the switch backlight goes off
This could be a simple solution , just means its not automatic

The hole ctrs on my TB are roughly 78mmx68mm and on my inlet manifold are roughly 60mmx60mm ctrs mine is a rado TB so for my setup i needed an adapter, my adapter plate will be ready this weekend also a new cable bracket is needed as it is not in line with the TB pic to follow

I'm about to go around the bl00dy twist!

This engine bracket is doing my nut in now!!

I bought a passat mount, albeit an auto version - but it still has the casting apertures to allow pipe to pass through.

I've offered it up and no way jos will it work!

Shall I just forgettit and buy a different oil return line from the turbo?

I think this K04 line is bigger diameter to the K03/s lines?

Anyone done this like to chime-in? [:x]

Yes it will fit,in your 1st pic you need to shave a semi-moon shape out of your new mount with an angle grinder where the braided hose is coming out below the top left bolt.
First bend the k04 pipe towards the block though so less shaving is needed (its easier to bend if its still bolted to the sump though)
I will try to get some pics of mine tomorrow but its cramped.

I used a flexi return pipe for mine instead of cutting the bracket. Pretty sure you will have to cut the bracket holding the coolant pipe slightly to as that gets in the way as well.

can you show pics of it next to a manual bracket so we can see whats different about it? i thought it might move the engien slightly due to the way the auto box sits but if its just additional hoopy-ness that'll be handy to know

This is the adapter plate ive had made not heli coiled yet but you get the jist the bore breaks into the fixing holes but it is air tight so no worrys there a bit thin on one of the side walls but i can live with that the next one will be 95mm square rather than 95mm x 85 mm to suit the throttle body so as a prototype it will work fine and anyone wanting to run a vr tb on a 1.8 plenum pm me and i can sort you out with a adapter plate:thumbup:

Got a second inlet manifold, due to the old one having a busted sensor, front cover etc - and this one came up complete.
Also gave me a chance to paint it before I swapped it onto the engine.

Always liked the wrinkle black finish but this is the first time i've tried it.....I like it!
Rocker cover next up for the treatment!

American paint called VHT. Its an ar5e to get an even finish.
I used their adhesion promoter spray beforehand.

By the way those are drinking straws bits to stop the washers falling off that I used for masking off.

RJ - this is a comparison with the Passat Auto bracket and a stock 8v PB Gti Bracket

The shape is similar, although the auto bracket has the "cutout" moulded at the back.
There is an extra reinforcing web at the top edge, and the bracket is visibly longer - perhaps 20-30mm.
