Keep at it Riley! You'll sort it in the end. You have to, there's a Mk1 needs sorting

I have no technical advice whatsoever to offer, but blimey if ever
there was a thread on here that demonstrated the depth of technical
knowledge and willingness to help others that this community has, this
    is it... :clap::clap:

Just a thought here, but have you ever tried changing the coil at all? and the coil - dizzy Ht lead?

I may just be p****** in the wind but they are valid suspects methinks.

Again, keep at it riley, you know it's going to be the best feeling in the world when you try something and it fixes it. :)

yep, swapped the coil and all leads/dizzy cap/rotor arm over from the cab,ran it for a bit and it was just the same. [8(]

I keep watching that video and thinking how much it reminds me of when
the condenser went on my old 1.1 Mk1. I'm SURE your problem is
electrical, but feel free to poke me in the eye if i'm wrong.

 im sat poking myself in the eye for not getting anywhere with it m8.

not sure what else i can try leccy wise, apart from the injector loom etc,ill really have to be in the mood for messing with that again though, relays etc too i suppose?

oh,forgot to add i fitted more new throttle body gaskets which i forgot i had, thought it best with having had the t body off a few times tring to sort this problem.

    i de-wdged it too [:$]

still runs exactly the same though.

i think at this point Riley you`ve got to try the injector loom and ecu loom by swapping out with another one, or build one up from scratch?

    I built a G60 loom from a digi2 loom and it wasn`t that difficult.

I`ve seen plenty off loome where the sheaths on the individual wires were ok but there was a break in the actually wire inside, very hard to pinpoint and gives all sorts of faults..

    aye [8(]

i dont really want to chop into the wiring to keep the original connectors etc,i have got a near full loom from a 9a lump...

just wondering if most of those connectors will do? not sure the ecu plug is the same though, motronic i think?

ive also got the injector loom from a pb golf, ill have to try that when i can build up the enthusiasm to do it [:$]

oh and ive checked out the fpr part numbers, theyre the same for the pb and pg  so ill give the pb one a try at some point too.

    cheers,neil.

Can't beleive this is still not sorted Neil.

I don't come on here much, but I followed your thread on the Corrado forum. Just assumed it was sorted now.

Keep going, its a beautiful car.
