so what have you proved? nothing.

you raced two different people around a track in differing conditions, how can you use that as a straight example?
    pah i'm bored with this.

i'm not arguing anymore as it won't do any good anyway.

    prof - there's a few turbo'd / supercharged saxo's around that area i believe. also a couple with nitrous.

Corrado VR6. Probably not as quick as standard, but damn comfy, and an incredible engine note. If you want less comfort, and more tuning potential, at a lower cost, a G60 Corrado.

i've always loved the corrado, and before that the scirocco........but to be honest i think they'll be slower than the saxo (not meaning to sound up myself).....

I'm thinking of upgrading to an Audi S4, in the next few years. Fully specced (Xenons/climate etc... all standard) loads of tuning options (2.7 Twin turbo 4wd Quattro) with loads of RS4 upgrades using the Audi parts bin (intercoolers/clutch/turbos/etc).

Luxury and speed, and the best thing is: try an insurance quote on one and be surprised.

    this is a good example:

    http://www.compucars.co.uk/vehicle-details.asp?order=&Model= 64&Make=&BodyType=&FuelType=&Transmission=&intMax=&intMin=&R SPage=1&ID=17530

this is a good resource page:

    check it out.

hmmm, that example does look nice.

always liked audi's too, but never thought about buying one. insurance quotes good for you?

how old are you, ncb, etc etc?

23, nearly 2 years ncb, golf was 800 this year with 1yr ncb (jan).

Audi S4 was just over 1100 with 2 years ncb. Compare that to about 3000 for an m3/C43 AMG, which are in the same class. S4's arent that popular, and the typical Audi driver is going to be older/more subdued so I expect less to be crashed (than say an M3) also with quattro it'll be harder to lose it, etc...

all helps to keep the insurance down. I want one...

corrado VR6 does a 15.1 quarter mile, but isn't exactly the definition of 'luxury'. Brilliant car, but the interior for me leaves a bit to be desired if you 'want' luxury. Also, it's about the same price to insure as an S4.

As much as I love Corrado VR6's, I'd prefer an S4. Especially as they are the same to insure (for me).

your saxo is gonna be a lot higher on insurance with all the mods compared to my group 14 GTI. Try a quote on elephant/tesco on an S3 or an S4, and be surprised.

Get to an audi dealer and drool over the interiors, the noise from an S4 (completely standard) is also nice, nice V6 growl.
