Sorted my VDO gauges! Went for the ashtray slot in the end and relocated the 12v lighter socket into the cubbyhole. Made the fascia out of some spare centre console plastic, so it matches nicely - pretty chuffed. Doing lot's of small jobs on the car while it's off the road, including returning back to twin-wiper setup and OEM backbox.

Yeh, thanks Phil, borrowing the Dremmel thing really helped out. Just using it to finish my inlet mani now[:D]

Bought new rims for the car, decided as everything else was looking so OEM, it'd be rude not to put some BBS on there...so I grabbed a set of RM's from Germany. I'm ordering 2" polished dishes ready for the summer, but they should still look pretty sweet for now.
As they look now, 6.5J standard

And, what I'm hoping to make them look like by summer - powder coated black centres and 2" polished rims.

Or maybe stick with silver - I'm undecided yet

Aslo, half way through polishing my inlet manifold and making everything look 100% under the bonnet - will get some pics up of that over the week.

Looks the dogs cahones Baz! [:D] I think you should go with the normal silver tbh. It looks better on that photoshop job. :)
Any videos of it going yet?
    Jonny.

Cheers, leaning more towards the black at the mo, like the way it sets the wheels off against the silver car.....plenty of time to decide yet though:) Opinions always appreciated.

No vid yet, car's been off the road since the mid January, done some engine work and generally just making things look how I want them. Will definitely do one soon though.

Sounds good! Are you still going to go with the supercharger idea? [:D]

No, gave it loads of thought and it's turbo all the way now - found most of the parts I need from the States and have been talking to members here regarding the setup etc. Most likely do that over the winter now though, as I'm planning to rebuild the entire engine with new mains, rings, valves, tappets, stem seals, etc, etc so it's completely overhauled in around 6-8months.
